An Empty Suit CHARACTER MATTERS We all know, or should know, that character is determined to a large degree by one’s associations—parents, childhood friends, the guys you “hang” with as a teen—they all contribute to your character, your political viewpoint—who you are. There are many web sites and blogs promoting a book exposing the “real” Barack Obama. The problem is—it’s for SALE. C’mon now, how many people would BUY a book in order to decide for whom to vote? Even if they did, wouldn’t that show them to be predisposed to vote against Obama, given the nature of the book? I believe that the future of our country is important enough to warrant getting as much factual information to VOTERS as possible—prior to the election and for FREE. At some point, we, each of us, have to get involved. If not, we lose the right to complain. For those of you who know me, it may not be surprising—me posting this, urging you to vote or at least show this to your parents/ older relative who can vote. However, this time I’m asking you to do more than that. Now, I can’t give you all the information that you need in this one e-mail but it’s out there. I urge you to get on the net and search it out—and think about the future of this country. Hopefully, this feeble attempt of mine will fire you up as I touch upon a very small sampling to show you the importance of your vote on November 4. ************************************************** **************** Stanley Ann Dunham: Obama’s mother was a Marxist atheist just like her parents, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham. Barack and his wife Michelle sat in the same pew of the Chicago church where Rev. Wright churned out his hate America rants over a period of 20 years. Even if they only went to services once a month, (highly unlikely) that would be 240 opportunities for the Obama’s “spiritual mentor” to spew his strange gospel of hate America to cheers and “Amens”. For example: “America’s chickens are coming home to roost.” [ Sep 11, 2001] “God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme.”[2003] “Hillary is married to Bill, and Bill has been good to us. No he ain’t! Bill did us, just like he did Monica Lewinsky. He was riding dirty.” [sermon] C’mon now, that’s not partisan, that’s truth. Barack Obama says that he never heard those kinds [anti-American] of remarks. But wait a minute, there’s even a name for the particular school of religious study to which that church subscribes—it’s called “liberation theology” and is widely believed to be based on a Marxist theory of the Gospels. So we KNOW that Obama and Ayers were at least associates. Obama and Ayers frequently crossed paths, living in the same neighborhood. They consorted together on several far-left committees, and even shared a stage with one another in 1997. It’s very likely that they were friends. Ayers was a founding member of the Weather Underground, a violent left-wing organization that bombed the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon during the 1970s.[Russell Berman, "Obama's Ties To Left Come Under Scrutiny," The New York Sun, 2/19/08]In March of 1970, Ayers’ then girlfriend, Diana Oughton, mistakenly blew up herself and two other terrorists while building a bomb intended for a Fort Dix, NJ dance. After more bombings, Ayers and his current wife, Bernardine Dohrn, spent the 1970s as fugitives running from the FBI. In 1980, they surrendered. The Weather Underground produced a manual, that begins, "We Are A Guerrilla Organization. We Are Communist Women And Men, Underground In The United States For More Than Four Years."[The New York Times, 10/ 22/81] Obama’s excuse that he was only eight years old when the bombings took place is so weak as to be ludicrous. In 2001, when Obama was over 40 years old, Ayers appeared in a video and stated with pride, "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough." All this he said while standing on the American flag. Now ask yourself these questions: Why would Obama say, as he recently did, that when he met Ayers in 1995 he presumed him to be “rehabilitated”? Ayers never served a day in prison for treason or terrorism so how would he have been “rehabilitated”? Moreover, why would Bill Ayers, an unrepentant terrorist select Obama as a candidate to endorse, promote or contribute to? I mention this only to point out, to anyone who might suggest otherwise, that there is no racial element to my belief that a political contest is not the place in which one “works out” real or imagined slights life may hand him. I may be 15 years old but this is NOT just a misguided teenager's essay for The Young Republicans Club. I believe the harm Obama can do won’t necessarily come right away, but it will come should he steal this election. Forget about Obama’s truthfulness, for a minute, what does all of the above say about his whole philosophy of governing? Does our country need or want a leader whose associations strongly hint he may be hell bent on “getting even” with white America? I love America and it pains me to know that bozos one might see in a Jay Leno man-on-the-street segment and not able to identify the Vice-President, or even their own Congressman, but who just Loooove Barack, will be electing our next President. It’s up to you. If you’ve read this through and would rather the United States continue as the bulwark of freedom in the world and not just another failing nanny state—you’ll know what to do. Larry Grathwohl, an FBI informant in the Weatherman group from the fall of 1969 to the spring of 1970, thought that "Ayers, along with Bernardine Dohrn, probably had the most authority within the Weatherman".[12] Years underground In 1970 he "went underground" with several associates after the Greenwich Village townhouse explosion, in which Weatherman member Ted Gold, Ayers' close friend Terry Robbins, and Ayers' girlfriend, Diana Oughton, were killed when a nail bomb (an anti-personnel device) they were assembling exploded. Kathy Boudin and Cathy Wilkerson survived the blast. Ayers was not facing criminal charges at the time, but the federal government later filed charges against him.[2]Ayers participated in the bombings of New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, the United States Capitol building in 1971, and The Pentagon in 1972, as he noted in his 2001 book, Fugitive Days. Because of a water leak caused by the Pentagon bombing, aerial bombardments during the Vietnam War had to be halted for several days. Ayers writes: Although the bomb that rocked the Pentagon was itsy-bitsy - weighing close to two pounds - it caused 'tens of thousands of dollars' of damage. The operation cost under $500, and no one was killed or even hurt. [13] While underground, he and fellow member Bernardine Dohrn married, and the two remained fugitives together, changing identities, jobs and locations. By 1976 or 1977, with federal charges against both fugitives dropped due to prosecutorial misconduct (see COINTELPRO), Ayers was ready to turn himself in to authorities, but Dohrn remained reluctant until after she gave birth to two sons, one born in 1977, the other in 1980. "He was sweet and patient, as he always is, to let me come to my senses on my own", she later said.[2] The couple turned themselves in to authorities in 1980. Ayers and Dohrn later became legal guardians to the son of former Weathermen David Gilbert and Kathy Boudin after the boy's parents were convicted and sent to prison for their part in the Brinks Robbery of 1981.[14]
