Ah ok. I just wanted to see. So you don't remember 18% interest rates, sky high infaltion and unemployment. You didn't live through the Cold War and do those stupid hide under your desk from the nuclear bomb drills, or watch Carter make a mess of the Iranian hostage situation, or wait in line at the gas pump for an hour.Just check. But lets look at some of those condemned numbers of yours. The bottom 40% paid more in income taxes. Oh how sad. I guess the top 10% paying 90% of the tax burden isn't enough for you. Public housing, job training,welfare etc. were cut dramatically? Yes they were thank god for it, do you remeber seeing a women with 8 kids driving a new car to the welfare office to pick up her check for more than my dad made going to work? I do. The reason the guy who wrote the article puts Reagan down is he cut Socialist programs. I don't need economic advice from Socialists I like to keep as much of my money for myself as I can, I'm sure that makes me a bad person

Wake up buddy, we live in a Democratic Republic, a Social Democracy. Do you want to know how many Socialist programs our government is responsible for? Here's a list: Public schools Public libraries Police officers Firefighters Public roadways and parks National parks U.S. postal service Every government organization Bureaucrats Taxes Welfare Medicaid Medicare Social Security Veterans health benefits Public defenders Military forces The highest marginal tax rates (taxes on the wealthiest) before Reagan were around 70%. Today the highest tax rates are less than 30%. If you think our taxes are high today, you're calling every President up until Reagan a Socialist.
