It's true we might not have needed another thread pointing out how dead the forums are...but look how it's generated a little activity within them.

Perhaps people are scared to post within the forums not only because of retaliation from other players but even the staff. There's no room to point fingers and be a dick when he did what no one else including myself has done in several days.

I say props to Leyton for generating a little conversation. :up

I started one... Not asking why they were dead, but stating they were dead, and telling people to knock it off. :up

It could have continued without us being assholes, but then it would have gotten 4 posts and faded off into the forum abyss.

No. If I hadn't posted and if nobody else was an ass, there wouldn't have been any other posts at all in the thread excluding " :roll: " - Just like all of the other "dead forum" threads

An hour passed between the time he created the thread and the time I posted in it. (I had seen the thread right away and was just waiting for someone to post in it)

Within 1 hour of me posting, there were 6 additional posts in the forums. And within 24 hours, there has been about 25+ posts.

So really, me being an asshole has generated at least 25 more posts in the forums. So you really should be thanking me for being an ass and saying what most people don't say, instead of giving him props for posting a crappy thread. And before you say it, I didn't need him to post his thread for me to be an ass. I could have posted that in any thread and it would have sparked a conversation.

Oh I know he didn't need to post for you to be an ass. That's almost a given really. And the thread was posted at a dead time on the server, when things are quiet so saying that it wouldn't have gathered more posts when it was only given an hour in the quietest hours doesn't mean much really.
