	too bad attacking a country that was usd and exploited by french gov.... well we all know that US by that time couldn;t attack anyplace in the USSR, and the USSR could attack anyplace in the US. It was a strategical place to put your ( US ) tactical missiles:/

We were fighting off communism. In the korean war we had the north defeated, then the chinese fought us back. So our general wanted to drop a few nukes on china. The president fired him. And we stayed in the south. Vietnam was similar but the weapons and fighters came from china through two other countries. Hippies didnt want to expand the war. And congress under democrats cut funding for the war.
