But if you want it to sound good, or sound recognizable you have to play some chords and do some plucking occasionally. Chords on a uke are harder than on a guitar because the frets are so small. You have to be really precise with your finger movement or you'll miss.

	My hands were made for a bass. I can move from the first fret to the last fret without even sliding my hand down the neck at all.
