When stopped at the lights its best to leave it in neutral, and when ur about to pull off change into first as it will burn the clutch out quicker if you are continuously on the clutch ![]() |

thanks sleeper and yes i'm canadian. they're changing the license laws here soon actually, so that you have to wait double the time between getting your Learner's and getting your license. by that though, i'll have my license plus probably the N off of it.

i don't live in BC but they probably have it there too when you get your license there will be a large N on it. this means you haven't complete the defensive driving course/you haven't totally completed your license. you can drive and all that but there's restrictions etc. or something. that's basically it, just do the 6 hour course and pass then they will remove it from what i understand

I drive a 6 speed, if you put it in first when you're slowing at a stop light you'll burn your clutch out much quicker then putting it in neutral and just holding the brake

okay, you are clearly slow and probably can't drive. anyway, drunk bear: so you shift from 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th straight into neutral and coast + brake to a stop? thanks

i might be coming into this a little late, but when coming to a stop, hold the clutch down (which is neutral), and bring the stick to neutral while you glide to a stop. once you stop, then shift to first. not sure if anyone already confirmed that cause I didnt read the other posts
