Language is NOT a science no matter how much you try to make it one, it is an art.

The general principles of language are a science. The dynamics and intricacies are an art.

I'm going to take a wild crack at this..

Seventy Five and Eighty are values over ten, and are supposed to be numerical. Their's isn't theirs. And one was a should only occur once? If that's right should be the last two.

If not, I only have 3.

True writers learn the rules of grammar, but then break the rules to write as they wish.

Shakespeare created his own rules, his own words, his own style and is still thought of as one of the greatest wordsmiths of all time.

And you're a poor black man from the projects, Frankie?

I mean really. What sort of argument is that? You really should have graduated high school. And before you think I'm making shit up, Darwin. He really didn't, and he also thought Simpsons made up Nuke the Wales, and not angry Jerry Brown supporters.

What does race have anything to do with it? Are you implying that black people don't know how to talk right? That is borderline racist there buddy.

Again with the high school shit, you are so fucking neurotypical there are a million other stupid fucking sheep like you, get your own brain.

Then you do the little tak "pop culture reference" so that everyone thinks of the people on TV you just mentioned like you ALWAYS do...

Stop being such a little faggot cum-dumpster, you are so predictable.

I have a brain, and it finished highschool. And so far half of college with a double major. What do you have for your life? Going down on beefcake's wife and providing brads monthly BMW payments?

he has two correct. Redundancy is a grammatical issue, whether you believe it or not. Being concise is part of being grammatically correct.

No, I still think it's a matter of style. Sometimes redundancy has a purpose. Sometimes it makes a piece awkward. Either way, it's not a matter of grammar.

It is a matter of grammar, as mentioned earlier, the rules exist for a reason. You're not required to follow them, which is where a writer's style comes into play. I agree, sometimes redundancy is necessary for someone's style, but the rule does state that every sentence must be as concise as possible.

We can argue this forever.

However, redundancy was not one of the original five errors that I intended.

They are much more concrete and obvious.

One-thousand (1,000) points will be awarded to the first person who can identify all five of the grammatical errors in the following passage

A grammatical error is a grammatical error. Your intentions do not amount to a hill of beans.

I still don't think it's a matter of grammar. It's a matter of personal preference and style.

Oh and one more thing tak, Mr "College boy" know it all...

Did you know that more Law students exist right now, than lawyers exist on the planet?

I laugh my ass off the more I read about stupid assholes just like YOU who think they know it all, and get a college degree... and get into 20, 30, 40 thousand dollars or more of debt learning how to do a job that does not exist in anywhere near the numbers of people who are qualified for the job.

College don't even guarantee you a job, and odds are you won't get one in the field you studied for... all you got was yourself a bunch of debt to work off as you flip burgers or say "would you like fries with that?"

Quote by Darwin:

Three dead men in a cemetery; one was a soldier, one was a postman, and one was a forester. Each died of old age. Although, this age differed for them all. At the age of seventy five, the soldier died--youngest and bravest of the three. At the age of eighty the postman died peacefully. There were not sufficient tree rings to speak of the longevity, of the old forester. Theirs was the cold earth, and nothing more.

According the the "Bureau Of Labor Statistics" since 2001, there have been more unemployed college graduates than unemployed high school dropouts.

Yeah I officially have lost interest in this thread. That's pretty sad considering I have a curiosity complex more powerful than Gogeta's attraction to my wife.
