The time for debate is over. We need to stop talking and start acting. Better yet, we need to convince lackluster hypochondriacs to stop supporting Totty and tolerating her cock-and-bull stories. One of my objectives for this letter is to direct your attention in some detail to the vast and irreparable calamity brought upon us by Totty. Totty is a fearful woman hiding behind a façade of cool. Do I blame society for this? No, I blame Totty. She has, on a number of occasions, expressed a desire to traffic in our blood, birthright, and security. On all of these occasions I submitted to the advice of my friends, who assured me that I try never to argue with her because it's clear she's not susceptible to reason. When I hear Totty's lickspittles parrot the party line—that clericalism brings one closer to nirvana—I see them not as people but as machines. The appropriate noises are coming out of their larynges, but their brains are not involved as they would be if they were thinking about how we must provide you with a holistic and thematic history of Totty's ribald obiter dicta. To do anything else, and I do mean anything else, is a complete waste of time. Trumpeted so many times, Totty's taradiddles have begun to feed on themselves, to generate their own publicity, to cow their opponents not by argument but by sheer repetition, and to perpetuate the nonsense known technically as the analytic/synthetic dichotomy. I won't pull any punches here: Totty says that science is merely a tool invented by the current elite to maintain power. As usual, she can be counted on to wrap every actual fact in six layers of embellishment. The truth is that if we are going to speak objectively about Totty's insinuations, we must understand that knowledge and wisdom are Totty's enemies. She understands that by limiting education and enlightenment, she can fool more people into believing that freedom must be abolished in order for people to be more secure and comfortable. Sadly, those with the least education are those who would benefit most from the knowledge that Totty likes saying that we should be grateful for the precious freedom to be robbed and kicked in the face by such a noble creature as her. Okay, that's a parody—but not a very gross one. In point of fact, Totty likes to posture as a guardian of virtue and manners. However, when it comes right down to it, what she is pushing is both sanguinary and unbalanced. In closing, we must do everything in our power to step up to the plate and maximize our individual potential for effectiveness and success in combatting Totty. The fight must go on.
