	If anyone of you have served in the military or any kind of duty you weren't asked to par take in i would like to thank you for all of your work. I realize i'm kind of late for you people that live on the other side of the globe but still please put kind words of people who you know who have served in the armed forces and maybe some stories?

	yes I did my miotary service- was a good party for 12 months but that's off topic.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them". here is a little insignificant story compared to some.. A young private in the British Army, an infantry division, was doing a 6 month tour in Northern Ireland based in barracks just out side Belfast in the late 1980's. His company was called to try and quash rioters on a funeral march of a IRA terrorist that had been killed by special forces a week earlier. anyway to cut a long story short, his squad had been called to a bridge in Belfast as petrol bombs and bricks had been thrown at parked cars and surrounding buildings. His truck had pulled up west side of the bridge right in the middle of the procession with already numerous squads trying to quell the trouble, anyway the squad jumped off the truck and the private was the last person to leave vehicle, jumping out of the truck it started to pull away before he had left it properly it knocked him off balance and he landed awkwardly on his left ankle which broke on impact. After a few seconds of being in extreme pain and trying to recover his composure he realised his squad had left him behind with out realising it and were heading to towards 10 or so rioters trying to target army vehicles with bricks and stones, he shuffled around on his backside to see in the other direction and to see that some 20 plus rioters were heading in his direction from the opposite side of where his squad was heading. realising that he was totally unable to move and the rioters had realised this also and were making a bee line straight for him all screaming and shouting '' get him, kill the bastard'' he only had seconds to react, he fired 3 rounds of rubber bullets into the oncoming crowd whilst screaming to his squad for help, to his utter relieve his squad had heard his cries for help and immediately returned to protect him, thankfully they reached him before the rioters had managed to get to him (he totally believed the 3 rounds had saved his life and delayed the crowd enough). anyway they called an armoured vehicle to come and get him out and was out in no time and on his way back to camp a very relieved and thankful young soldier! I have ultimate respect for the armed services home and abroad, you do an amazing job and i for one am very proud of you
