Looking at the qualifications, only someone who is financially stable, and has a decent, but average or just below income, can succeed with habitat for humanity.

Never volunteered, but do know someone has gotten a house built. This person doesn't have a brand new car but takes budgeting to the extreme, and is financially stable.

I think that's my point. If you're struggling to get by and need assistance, driving a brand new Lexus just shouldn't be part of that budget.

I agree...I went to 'Bama to volunteer for my university, and the people we were helping definitely needed it...so I don't know about your habitat, but the one in Birmingham helps the people in need..
