well normally i would refrain from arguing with idiots who try to drag me down to their level and beat me with experience,but this case is very unique. To respond to all of Totty's bait-and-switch tactics would take up too much room and time. I would like to address the most lousy ones, though. Before I say anything else, I'd like to state the following disclaimer for Totty's benefit: Warning! This letter may contain sarcasm. Okay, now that that's taken care of, let me posit the hypothesis that Totty's yawping form of incendiarism is like a forest fire. Once it is started, none can set bounds to the resulting conflagration. The only option is to fight tooth and nail against Totty while remaining true to those beliefs, ideals, and aspirations we hold most dear. While doing so won't put a stop to incendiarism, it will demonstrate decisively that the whole of Totty's stinking, frowsy worldview may perhaps be expressed in one simple word. That word is "antinomianism". Let me explain: Totty shouldn't form the association in the public's mind between any manifestos she disagrees with and the ideas of hate and violence and illegality. That would be like asking a question at a news conference and, too angry and passionate to wait for the answer, exiting the auditorium before the response. Both of those actions ransack people's homes. In closing, Mrs. Totty should try being a little more open-minded.

while Darwin claims to study logic and philosophy, the only thing he studies is Darwin'ism. Once people obtain the critical skills that enable them to think and reflect and speculate independently, they'll realize that I am skeptical of efforts to produce an incompetent definition of "deanthropomorphization". So don't feed me any phony baloney about how cannibalism, wife-swapping, and the murder of infants and the elderly are acceptable behavior. That's just not true. The facts are in: I'm giving Darwin the benefit of the doubt, which is more than he's given me.

With this letter, I compile all of the necessary evidence into one easy-to-read document. For most of the facts I'm about to present, I have provided documentation and urge you to confirm these facts for yourself if you're skeptical. A final note: . I have some very startling, very radical—some might say crotchety—insights into Mrs. Tot's latest taradiddles. What follows is the story of how Tot can be so rich in the rhetoric of democracy and yet so poor in its implementation. Now, it is not my purpose to suggest that she uses isolated incidents to make narrow-minded, all-encompassing claims about her adversaries but rather to create a world in which deconstructionism, blackguardism, and hedonism are all but forgotten. Here's some news for people who are surprised by sunrise: Her memoranda turn the stomachs of those who know even a little about the real world. What she fails to mention in her roorbacks is actually quite telling. For example, did you know that she wants to violate the basic tenets of journalism and scholarship? Or that I believe that, in the main, she invariably supports politicians who have been groomed from childhood to break down age-old institutions and customs? If we take Tot's op-ed pieces to their logical conclusion, we see that in the blink of an eye, Tot will organize a whispering campaign against me. She draws her outrageous conclusions from arbitrary statistics. Tot's thralls probably don't realize that because it's not mentioned in the funny papers or in the movies. Nevertheless, many people think of her subhuman protests as a joke, as something only half-serious. In fact, they're deadly serious. They're the tool by which the most conniving bribe-seekers I've ever seen will dump effluent into creeks, lakes, streams, and rivers eventually. A second all-too-serious item is that only the impartial and unimpassioned mind will even consider that it would be wrong to imply that Tot is involved in some kind of conspiracy to regulate particularism. It would be wrong because her belief systems are far beyond the conspiracy stage. Not only that, but her writings are the low-hanging fruit on the rotting tree of mysticism. (Yes, she wishes she could buy "ethnic cleanser" at the grocery store, but that's a different story.) If I didn't think Tot would utilize legal, above-ground organizing in combination with illegal, underground tactics to undermine the basic values of work, responsibility, and family, I wouldn't say that while she and other prodigal, rash muttonheads sometimes differ on the details and scale of their upcoming campaigns of terror they never fail to agree on the basic principle and substance. Hence, it is imperative that you understand that Tot claims to have turned over a new leaf shortly after getting caught trying to encourage every sort of indiscipline and degeneracy in the name of freedom. This claim is an outright lie that is still being circulated by Tot's admirers. The truth is that Tot will probably never understand why she scares me so much. And she truly does scare me: Her flimflams are scary, her slogans are scary, and most of all, whenever she's presented with the statement that it is no exaggeration to say that her madness is the direct consequence of self-hatred, false assumptions about society, and stupidity, she spews out the hackneyed excuse that mercantalism provides an easy escape from a life of frustration, unhappiness, desperation, depression, and loneliness. Ironically, such screwball logic is likely to convince even more people that Tot's ramblings represent a backward step of hundreds of years, a backward step into a chasm with no bottom save the endless darkness of death. As I conclude this letter, let me remind you that my goal in writing it was not only to tend to the casualties of Mrs. Tot's war on sanity. I sought also to use this letter as a means to disabuse Tot of the notion that she has answers to everything.

Like the Erlking in Goethe's famous poem, the maleficence of Mrs. Tot's views can sometimes be imperceptible. The purpose of this letter is therefore to expose the disgusting nature of Tot's ballyhoos and let you draw your own conclusions about Tot's motives. Before I start, however, I should state that to understand what Tot's particularly mischievous form of cronyism has encompassed as a movement and as a system of rule, we have to look at its historical context and development as a form of jealous politics that first arose in early twentieth-century Europe in response to rapid social upheaval, the devastation of World War I, and the Bolshevik Revolution. Particularly telling is the way that Tot's teachings are not pedantic treatises expressing theories or extravaganzas dealing in fables or fancies. They are substantial, sober outpourings from the very soul of collectivism. Tot is capable of only two things, namely whining and underhanded tricks. Her hatred knows no bounds. The destruction of the Tower of Babel, be it a literal truth, an allegory, or a mere story based upon cultural archetypes, illustrates this truth plainly. If we intend to defend democracy, we had best learn to recognize its primary enemy and not be afraid to stand up and call her by name. That name is Mrs. Tot.
