| For some reason the og thread got locked. Since it was the only thing keeping the general chat forum decently active, and there was no proper reasoning as to why it was locked, it shall continue here... So my thoughts... I think the course of action should be similar to what would happen in the real world. In MC = In the real world MC ToS = Law Scammer Tag = Disciplinary Action MC Casino (50/50,slots,etc...) = Business with a Gambling License GM = Law Enforcement attack/mug one or ones friend = taking self action (hope fully within the law) In the real world... Law enforcement can only give disciplinary action, if betting losses are not handed over when conducted with a business with a gambling license. Or if there is a signed (and probably notarized) legal document saying that the two parties promise to honor their word should certain conditions be met. So since law enforcement would not be willing to give disciplinary action it would be up to the individual to take self-action. I'm sure you people see where i'm going here... And don't say that the private message is like a legal document, because it is no different than a casual piece of mail from 1 person to another. Even if I wrote a letter to you and it could be proven that it was in my own handwriting saying I bet _____ if ____. It would not be admissible in court, and would be treated as gambling, which is legally restricted in the US. |
